Needles and What Knots
As a kid I remember being offered classes of all sorts from piano to ballet to water skiing. However, not for sewing or craft. I only remember having this antique Singer machine that my grandma who admittedly only touched the machine out of necessity would finally succumb to my incessant pleas to let me sew. Most of my sewing was done by hand as it was just too dangerous to use the hand wheel and foot pedal. Gone are those days, now computerised machines and really slow stitching settings allow for kid friendly sewing.
When I started working, spending so much on a sewing machine just seemed frivolous especially as I was not sure how it worked and if I would like it. Trying it out for hardly 10 minutes in a shop was not good enough. Classes on the other hand required for one to bring their own machines! And they were generally scheduled during weekdays when I was too busy working. Not anymore, I am open to classes in the evening after work as well as weekends.
Come start sewing with me.
